Cornhole League at Annapolis Sailing School

Ready to play cornhole right on the water with the bay bridge in the background and sand right at your feet? We're super excited for our next cornhole location at the Annapolis Sailing School played under their big tent.

2 v 2 Social Cornhole League and teams may register up to 5 players/team

We'll have a three-week regular season with a one-week of playoff elimination.

We'll guarantee three games each night and teams may be made up of any gender makeup of their choosing.

** This league is outside and rainouts and reschedules are a possibility**

THE BASICS

  • Players on each team will stand on opposite sides, each team will have 4 bags each. Teams who have more than 2 players may rotate, but please keep rate of play in mind.

  • The first toss is decided by rock, paper, scissors.

  • Opponents alternate tossing the bags until all 8 bags have been thrown.

  • Bags may be knocked off the board or in the hole by other tossed bags.

  • The last team to score on a previous round will shoot first in the next round.

  • The thrower must stand behind the front edge of the cornhole board. They can toss from either side of the board.

  • Teams will play a total of 3 games. If there is time left over, teams can continue to play for fun.

  • No gender rules.

SCORING

  • Teams will play 3 games each night.

  • The first team to get to 21 points or go over wins the game, you do not need exactly 21.

  • 3 points for a bag in the hole and 1 point for a bag on the board.

  • Cancelation scoring. For example, in one round if Team A gets 5 points and Team B gets 3 points, the score for that round will be 2 points for Team A.

  • Bags that bounce on the ground and then onto the board should be removed.

  • Bags leaning on or getting support from the ground will not count as a point.

  • Scores of each team's win/loss totals are self-reported to Peake Social Staff- don't leave without reporting your score!

Fall Pickleball Doubles: Tuesdays in Annapolis

We're excited to host our second season Annapolis pickleball season this fall. We are on the courts with lights (Tennis Courts #7 & 8).

This is an open league allowing for teams to be all male, all female, or mixed.

We will try to match skill levels accordingly to keep play both fun and fair.  This is more of a social league and more fitting for players rated below 4.0. If you are above that skill level, a better fit may be APC who is an amazing group that plays often and the Bestgate courts are geared towards those boasting a 3.5 or higher level. They have plenty of competition for both novice and experienced players!

The season will go for three weeks with two weeks of playoffs depending on rainouts.

Games are self-refereed. A match is three games that are played to 11, winning by 2. If there is not enough time, the winner of the most games will be assigned the win that night. Teams may continue with free play after the match has been won if there is still time and no other teams are waiting to play.

Peake Social staff will give reminders to teams playing that we have permitted times so please be patient as teams playing before finish up. Our number one rule is to Be Kind!

We follow the USA Pickleball Rules

Fall TopTracer Golf: Mondays in Arnold

After a sold-out summer season and a lot of fun, we're bringing it back for the fall and adding one more week. This is a 5-week series of golf simulation play using the Severna Park Golf Center's driving range and TopTracer's cutting-edge technology. See how it works here.

Always wanted to play Pebble Beach? St. Andrews? Torrey Pines? Each week you can as we'll play 9 holes in a match play (your group vs. another each week). Teams will consist of 3 or 4 players and free agents will be paired together.

TopTracer will record your scores, stats, and improvements to give everyone from amateurs to professionals insights to improve their game.

Practice at 6:45 and league play starts at 7! Severna Park Golf has a new bar and league members will have access to beer specials.

Rules

Teams will be in groups of 3 or 4 and will be paired against another group each night (except for the finale). One large bucket of balls will be provided and additional balls for practice may be purchased. Teams will record the two lowest scores from each hole and at least one score from each player must be used twice. You cannot go back and change an earlier hole's recorded score/player so choose wisely when to record certain players' scores. The maximum score for a hole is twice the par. The final week will consist of everyone playing against each other and will also have special prizes for individual challenges (i.e. Longest Drive). Mulligans will be provided in the finale based on league standings.
