Peake Social Kickball Playoff Week 2
Champions Will Be Crowned!!!
Hi Everyone!
For those that made it to the second round of the playoffs, be ready to be great tonight. For those that didn’t, there are still some kickball options for you!
1) Our GiGi’s Playhouse charity game is tonight! Gigi’s Playhouse supports individuals with Down syndrome and this is our 3rd “Gigi’s Classic”. We can always use volunteers to help the Gigi’s kids run the bases, pitch, and be their on-field big buddy. Game is at 5:30pm at Truxton!
2) Summer kickball starts in mid-June in Annapolis and there are only a handful of spots left for teams! We also have a Friday night league in Severn starting in July. If you were thinking of playing, don’t delay!
Host Bar: Tonight’s host bar is Stan and Joe’s. They will have white claw specials for all players of the league!
Dinner under the Stars is back on Wednesday nights, so carpooling may be a good option for parking purposes.
For the Playoff Teams:
Week two of playoffs hosts the remaining teams, both divisions are as follows starting at 6:30:
1 and 2 will have a BYE
3 v 6
4 v 5
Reminders:
BE KIND! It’s kickball.
Playoff games cannot end in a tie. You will play extra innings, rules listed below.
Extra Innings
Extra Innings will be done in playoffs only.
Players will start out with a 1 strike, 2 ball count
Each team will have a runner start on 2nd base, and the team will start with zero outs. Zero outs is new this year.
The runner starting at second base will be the runner that had the last out in the lineup during regulation play
Teams must keep their original kicking lineups
There is no run limit on the last inning during playoffs, any team could potentially have an amazing comeback!
